SCRAP METAL COLLECTION
The Sandwich Lions Club will conduct their spring scrap metal collection on Saturday, May 14 from 8:00 am until 12 noon in the city parking lot across from City Hall and east of the gazebo. This is offered both as a service to the community and a benefit for the Lions Club. Residents are offered a convenient way to dispose of unwanted metal items. The club in turn sells the items to a recycler to help support Lion activities.
As you clean out your basements, garages and sheds keep in mind that the Lions will accept any type of metal including iron, aluminum, copper, brass and other metals. Metal items can include, but are not limited to, old lawn mowers, grills, aluminum windows and doors, gutters, siding, pipes, cast iron boilers, furnaces, stoves, washers, driers and refrigerators. The Lions reserve the right to refuse any item they are unable to handle.
