Plano Bologna Sandwich

Co-Mayors of the town of "Bologna" have been announced.

Sandwich Mayor Rick Olson and Plano Mayor Bob Hausler announced Wednesday that Ed Schleining of Wurst Kitchen in Plano and Karl Rud, a retired butcher from Sandwich, will be given the honorary titles, positions and responsibilities for the upcoming Plano Bologna Sandwich Day, scheduled to be held on National Bologna Day on October 24.

Plano and Sandwich are uniting that day to create the town of “Bologna, Illinois” on Route 34.
