Indian Valley Community Band will present its 25th annual holiday concert at 1:30 pm on Sunday, December 11, at the beautiful historic Opera House in Sandwich, 140 E. Railroad Street. Built in the 1890’s, the Opera House is on the National Register of Historic Places. There is no admission charge, but non-perishable food items or monetary donations will be gratefully accepted at the door. Under the direction of Richard Hart, the performance will feature a variety of holiday music, including “Jingle Bells Rhapsody,” Up On A Housetop,” “White Christmas” and “The Most Wonderful Time of the Year”. The whole family is welcome to attend and even children will enjoy this casual, festive music program which includes a sing-along with audience participation. Come out and enjoy the sounds of the season while supporting the Franklin Mall Christmas Project, which distributes food and non-perishables to deserving families in the area. Concert goers are invited to stay for a punch and cookie reception after the band’s performance.
