HR Workshop: Policy Manuals - A Tool for Shared Understanding

When business owners choose to incorporate governing policies into their operational strategies, they are choosing to create a shared understanding of what the employee experience looks like in their business. Misunderstandings around behavioral expectations can create problems for business owners, both legally and in the day-to-day engagement of employees in the work. Before deciding to move forward on employing a formal set of policies in your business, it is a good idea to understand what that means to you and your employees.
This workshop will explore:
- compliance factors
- best practices
- legal components
- typically included policies
- business relevance issues
- implementation strategies
You will create a content-rich outline of a policy manual for your business. You will receive all you need to implement a set of standard policies, if you should choose to do so. You will also have an opportunity to schedule a free one-hour consultation (value $250) with the workshop facilitator.
Doreen will ask that each attendee do some pre-work before the workshop so their experience is more personalized. Attendees will also walk away with a thumb drive containing sample policies and other valuable information.
