The Somonauk Library is turning 100 and we want you to be a part of the Celebration! Join us in celebrating 100 Years of the Somonauk Library! This year marks a century of service, learning, and community at the Somonauk Library, and we couldn’t be more excited to celebrate with YOU! From 1925 to 2025, the Somonauk Library has been a cornerstone of knowledge, creativity, and connection. To honor this incredible milestone, we’re hosting a special centennial celebration filled with special guests, events, programs, and opportunities to meet local authors to discover their works and purchase signed books! We will have a food truck, giveaways, drawings, roaming magicians and refreshments provided by the Friends of the Library. Get your picture taken in a real working Model T, the car that our patrons drove to the library when it first opened in 1925! Children can enjoy face painting, balloon art, crafts And a special appearance by “Pikachu.” Let’s make this 100th year one for the books!
